It is with great honor to announce that Gavin and Lydia have been appointed Ambassadors of the Ballroom Dancing for Cancer Foundation. Gavin and Lydia will use their profile to raise awareness of this organisation, which provides a place for which every sick dancer in need, to turn to for help & support when diagnosed with cancer.

"DanceSport was our background, for what seems now to be a lifetime ago, and we have fond memories of our days as athletes in this competitive sport. We know how much hard work, sweat, and tears it takes for dedicated DanceSport athletes to even survive in this sport, let alone, the financial sacrifices they make to stay on top of their game. It is because of our coaches, mentors, fellow dancers, and experiences that has shaped us into the people we are today. Sadly, since our retirement from this sport, we've seen many of our dancing friends battle the devastating illness of cancer. It is our honor to give back what we can to the industry that has always been there for us. We are inspired by the courage and impact that is being made by BDCF President, Magda Schoeneich, and we thank her for her work." Gavin & Lydia.

Soul Mystique will fly to New York in July for the BDCF 2013 Gala, where they will join forces with Strictly Come Dancing Celebrity - Karen Hardy, former world champions - Brian Watson & Carmen, and other high profile DanceSport Ambassadors - to raise funds for this incredible foundation.

BDCF 2013 Gala, will be held on 3 July 2013, via Manhatten DanceSport Championships - New York, USA.
